I'm 73 and took a little more time to assemble the desk. The instructions were clear but one needs to be creative at times. Pre-drilled holes do not always match up and you may need to add a small washer to keep screws from pushing through finished pieces (drawer facing). The glue provided was dried up but I had my own. One drawer came with 2 left drawer slides (should be 1-left and 1-right). I'll need to order a replacement.. All minor things. I love this desk. Now I have to order other products to go with it.

Before you consider purchasing this product, ask yourself the following questions: Are you patient? Can you read and understand directions? Will you follow the directions? Do you have a lot of uninterrupted time? Do you have an adequate workspace? If you answered no to any of these questions, this desk is not for you. This project is a major undertaking. I have assembled items before, but never has one taken so much time. First, lets talk about the weight. The package that this product was delivered weighted more than I do! Make sure you have at least one other person just to unload the many, many, many pieces. Speaking of pieces, the desk is made completely out of material, lets call it particle board. Particle board is a material that does not forgive. If you damage an item during assembly (very easy to do), there is no repairing the part. The furnished manual is very complete and must be followed to the letter to avoid damaging any part. Before starting the product's construction, I recommend that you read through the manual before assembly of the desk. There is an online presentation I also recommend you view. While this review might sound very negative, I assure it is not. Yes, the construction took a great deal of time. That aside, I now have a very handsome piece of furniture that will serve me for many years to come. The drawers work smoothly and are very spacious . The desktop is especially good looking! Would I recommend this desk to a friend? It depends on the friend. Most of mine would have not have the patience required to complete the project. Others, enjoy a challenge like this desk. If you answered yes to all the questions at the beginning of this review you will be rewarded with a useful product.

Amazing room and storage if you have the space for it.

Comments about Sauder Office Furniture Heritage Hill Executive Desk with Inlay Top:

I've had this desk for over 20 years. It is only now starting to show signs of wear. There are 3 full size file drawers and 2 more half size. One drawer for finance and insurance, one for warranties and manuals, and one for paid bills and auto records. It has served me well and I wish I could buy the same desk in a light wood instead of a fiber veneer.

This desk makes me feel like a CEO!

Comments about Sauder Office Furniture Heritage Hill Executive Desk with Inlay Top:

Had my last Sauder desk (a smaller one) for 18 years. It was time to update. The desk looks much more expensive than it cost. Assembling the desk is an involved project, but carefully following the instructions works just fine. I would point out that the carton it is shipped in is VERY heavy - it would be better if shipped in two cartons.

Comments about Sauder Office Furniture Heritage Hill Executive Desk with Inlay Top:

First off This desk is very nice. A lot of pieces. Fairly easy to assemble just take time and read the instructions. More detail would be really helpful along with some footnotes. Some pieces that utilize pre drilled holes could have been drilled more accurately. included glue was dry. Better packaging of heavy and finished pieces would have prevented minor scratching that occurred. Two drawer faces scratched. Would highly recommend. 4.5 out of 5.0

Comments about Sauder Office Furniture Heritage Hill Executive Desk with Inlay Top:

It took over 7 hours to assemble. There were some parts missing and the directions were not always precise or clear. Looks good, lots of surface area. Good cable management. Now that it is assembled, I really like it.

Wrong slide used on item F ( right end ), There is a left hand slide when there should be a right hand slide. Now I have down time finishing the desk because of that one part and have no idea when or how to get a replacement.

If offices were bedrooms, this would be the King Size bed!

Comments about Sauder Office Furniture Heritage Hill Executive Desk with Inlay Top:

This desk was very complicated to build and extremely heavy unassembled. I have had no problems with drawers aligning or sticking, the "wood" finish has never peeled or lost color from consistent sun exposure. The opening for cords on the desktop is so convenient and the deep drawers are a teacher's Godsend!

It took my husband three days to assemble this deck. Everything went fine until he put the lock in. Nothing worked. The bracket and the lock did not line up. I love the look of the deck. it is beautiful. Never got it to work.
