Another year goes by, another successful Neocon has come and gone. Like every year, we had a great time and walked away with insider insights into the latest furniture and design trends. But, just because you weren't able to make it doesn't mean we're not going to give you some of the takeaways! Check out some of the top trends and takeaways below.
It comes as no surprise with the push to have more privacy options in today's work environment, that soundproof panels was a common trend spotted among vendors. In addition to that, the idea of creating more of a "cozy" living room environment in the office versus a traditional styled office was a popular trend this year as well. To add to that we saw lots of workstations with creative twists like organizers and bookcases versus cubicles and the ever popular standing height products continue to grow.
Color trends are always an interesting thing to see each year. This year's colors were very toned down compared to previous years. Popular colors included blush pinks, hunter greens, and other muted colors.
Benching and privacy weren't new trends this year, but they have been making a regular occurrence over the past few years and have continued to do so going into this year's NeoCon. Why benching? Probably because of the ease of setup for these workstations and giving employees the work environment that they want.
Privacy in the office also wasn't a new trend this year, but it is a recurring trend we've continued to see more of over the past couple of years. For example, we saw a lot of privacy booths and benching systems to create a mix of privacy and collaboration in the office like you see in the image below.
