I ordered the Barrister bookcase because I'm lazy and don't want to have to clean my books. The glass for the top shelf is beveled, the entire bookcase is lovely. I was impressed that the description stated no assembly required and all solid wood - no particle board.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

      A:

      Hi Carrie, safety is always a concern with small children. A couple things come to mind here. While the manufacturer does not provide a bracket it is something you can purchase as a local hardware store. In addition to that, ensure most of the weight is loaded in the lower shelves and limit in the top two, place the bookcase a couple inches from the wall then slide a few shims under the bottom front of the bookcase so that it is angled back slightly.
